"Promise Boxes" cost nothing to make as you simply recycle old Christmas or other greetings cards. All you need (besides plenty of old cards) is a pair of sharp scissors, a pencil and ruler, lots of patience and reasonable dexterity! They are called "Promise" boxes because they can be used to store your Promise Badge, but they have lots of uses and can be made in various sizes as required. Start by cutting out a square between 10 and 12 cms. from the front of an old Christmas (or birthday) card and follow the instructions and diagrams below; be sure to fold precisely and make all creases sharp. They look complicated, but once you have the hang of how to make them they can be turned out quickly. |
